Timber framing refers to the traditional method of construction where the building’s frame consists of timber posts and beams. The pieces are connected to each other using wood joints and are locked with wooden pegs.
In a timber frame, the wood posts and beams are visible to the interior of the home, displaying the inherent strength and beauty of the structure.
This type of construction is suitable for modern as well as traditional designs.
In the design process, we create a complete 3D computer model of the entire frame and its joinery. We then extract each piece and generate detailed shop drawings. At this point, the frame is ready for construction.
